Andy: Nice... Your Dad sent me a pic near Nellie Fox's grave. It's nice that you were able to see an Oakland icon. Closers are finally getting their due in terms of HOF Voting. I think Mariano is a shoo-in and I also think Hoffman has a reasonably good shot even though I have some misgivings about him.
Hoffman is a first balloter. The Sports Media will get tied up on him breaking the record on saves, etc, just like Biggio will probably be a hall of famer for getting 3000 hits.
